![]() The Malem is available in the starter pack and has a special enhanced cloaking device. If you're okay with flying a weird flaming hell-ship, you could look for a fast Romulan warbird to balance against the slow carrier. It's not a Romulan ship but it's free, and carriers are pretty neat. ![]() There's going to be a free ship from the Winter Event coming up, which is a slow combat carrier. Unless you already know that you're fine with flying something so slow, I'd avoid the Kara as a first ship. Without a lot of work put into speed improvements, you may find it unenjoyable to fly something so sluggish. The Kara is a decent enough ship but it's also ponderously slow. There'll be another sale around Christmas. You could even go with an allied faction ship, you know. Okay, maybe don't pick the Laeosa unless you absolutely want to go space magic. You could just pick something you like for looks. don't be a Romulan Tac? Anyways, the Dewan Ikkabar has a meta trait for Gravity Well builds, is actually quite fun to fly and looks just ass. It's a good ship with pretty good trait and looks badass. There are actually three T6 Scimitars, with the Khopesh being the best of them. If you don't like CSV, but use cannons or beams, the Morrigu is arguably the best 'starter' T6 ship out there due to having one of the best traits in the game for energy weapon builds. If you don't like CSV it loses a lot of shine, though, because the Malem isn't the greatest ship. If you like using Cannon Scatter Volley, the 2k zen Romulan Elite Starter Pack with the Malem is your best value for money.
